A community activist is calling on the Graham government to create the position of an energy advocate.
Kurt Peacock made the suggestion while addressing a national conference of energy regulators underway here in the city -- he says the position would be based on the consumer advocate for auto insurance.
He says more New Brunswick households spend more on energy than auto insurance -- now is the time to make the move.
Peacock also thinks Efficiency N-B should play a role at any rate hike hearings -- he says working with low income residents to make their homes more energy efficient is a long term solution to rate shock.
