The largest wind farm in Atlantic Canada has officially be opened this afternoon. Energy Minister Jack Keir has cut the ribbon at the Kent Hills site in Albert County. It has a capacity of 96-mega-watts but won't always be running at capacity due to the un-predictability of wind. Keir tells CHSJ News, he isn't sure there will be savings from this type of energy.

Three other wind farms at Caribou Mountain, Lemec and Aulac are in the construction phase. No word on when they are set to open.
