Changes To Saint John Winter Parking Schedule

The city's winter parking ban has been tweaked a bit. Instead of starting in the middle of next month, it will be in force from December 1st to the end of March.

Councillor Bill Farren supports the ban to make it easier to plow the streets while acknowledging he has heard some concerns from drivers around town about being towed.

The head of Municipal Operations, Paul Groody says if there's no snow, you won't be towed.

There will be parking allowed all winter long along a section of Douglas Avenue from Main Street down to Bentley.
