The chair of the District Eight Education Council is applauding the move by the Education Minister to do a structural review of every school in the Province.

Rob Fowler tells CHSJ News, the oldest school in the District is St. Patricks which was built back in 1924.

Fowler says every year, the District submits a capital request to the Province for between $18 and $19 million dollars and usually get one or two million.

Close to one million dollars is spent through operating funds to maintain and do minor repairs.
