Salmons Released To Boost Numbers

200 adult inner Bay of Fundy Salmon have been released at Fundy National Park into the Point Wolfe River with the goal being to prevent them from becoming extinct.

Despite their best efforts, it's a distinct possibility according to park ecologist Rene Wissink because of the oceans being used and abused.

Historically, 40 thousand of them were returning to Bay of Fundy rivers and streams but by 1999, that number had declined to 250.
