Province Marks Today As National Hypertension Day

The provincial government is recognizing today as National Hypertension Day.

Premier David Alward and Health Minister Madeline Dubé getting into the spirit of the occasion by having their blood pressure checked.

Dubé says hypertension or elevated blood pressure can be an indicator for cardiovascular disease and wants everybody to get their levels checked.

Cardiovascular disease is the second leading cause of death in the province.
