RCMP say the crash happened in the early morning hours on Saturday on Route 103 near Wakefield.
The vehicle left the road, hit a tree, and landed in a nearby ravine.
The only other passenger was a 16-year-old boy who remains in hospital in critical condition.
They were not wearing seat belts when the accident occurred.
