Heavy Rain Coming To Saint John

Put away the snow shovels and break out the umbrellas.

A rainfall warning being issued for Saint John and the surrounding areas by Environment Canada.

Ming Fzeto is with the Atlantic Storm Prediction Centre and he tells CHSJ News as much as 60 to 70 millimetres of rain could fall tonight and tomorrow.

The rain will end Monday night or Tuesday morning.

He says the rest of the week should contain sunny skies.

Car Rolls Over At City Limit

The Musquash Fire Department responding to a car accident on Highway One westbound at the Saint John city limit early this morning.

A car had landed on the roadway on its roof around 2:30 this morning. Firefighters providing medical care to the man until an ambulance arrived.

All westbound traffic was stopped for about a half hour.

Couple Loses Home To House Fire In Miramichi

A couple in the Miramichi area are homeless after a fire late Friday.

Fire destroying their 150-year-old house at 267 West Collette Road -- they were not home at the time of the blaze and firefighters were able to save the couple's dog.

No official word on the cause but fire officials believe it began near their wood stove.
