Mel & Shel To Lead The Port City After Decisive Wins

"The Change We Need" is the change we got. Voters in Saint John told Mel Norton they want him in the Mayor's chair.

The 38-year-old lawyer and rookie Ward 3 councillor gets the top job after a sound thrashing of incumbent Ivan Court.

Norton tells CHSJ News he thinks Shelley Rinehart's win is tremendous.

He says he couldn't be more thrilled adding she is easily one of his favourite people who is bright and accomplished.

Norton adds the latest he heard from Fredericton was that pensions reforms hadn't yet been accepted by the Superintendent of Pensions.
