The young musicians of the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra honouring the royals with their own special tribute. The NBYO will be playing a special composition commissioned just for the royal visit.
Don Matheson, Executive Director of the NBYO, tells us the piece will reflect the unique sounds of New Brunswick, including a native drummer and collaborations with a number of local musicians.
Matheson says playing for the royals is another major honour for the orchestra. The NBYO won an international youth music festival in the symphony competition last July in Vienna.
