Daycares Not Making Grade For Disabled Kids

Daycares and early childhood education facilities aren't making the grade when it comes to including kids with disabilities....that from a recent study by the NB Association for Community Living. Some of the biggest issues included a lack of proper facilities, not enough support staff, and lack of funding for programs.

With the Saint John police force recently rolling out an online registry for people with autism, Mitchell tells CHSJ News she thinks that's a good idea, since so many kids are prone to running, but she's looking forward to getting more details.

The NBACL has put together a series of recommendations to the provincial government, including better pay for support workers and funding to create much-needed programs.
