Assessment For Man Charged In Prince William St Death Will Take Longer

A doctor has requested more time to perform a mental health assessment on a Saint John man accused of aggravated assault and resisting arrest.

35 year old Nicholas Logan is charged in the death of 66 year old Duncan MacDonald. He and MacDonald both lived at a rooming house on the corner of Duke and Prince William, where the older man was seriously injured after a March 16th incident. He died in hospital on April 10.

Logan has been undergoing a mental  assessment in Restigouche requested more time. He's set to reappear on May 14th.
