Two Arrests In Oromocto Vehicle Thefts

Police in Oromocto bringing in a couple of young people after a series of thefts from cars in the area.

Two 15 year old boys from Wassis were arrested earlier this month for stealing from cars, it was a second arrest for one of the boys.

Since April 26,  the Mounties have received about 60 reports of theft with items ranging from cash, purses, passports, cell phones and more.   Police have not ruled out more arrests.

Constable Derek Black says they are looking for information on these thefts adding people can prevent this type of crime by locking their vehicles and not keeping valuables in plain view.

The RCMP is also asking for your help in finding out who took a car from a Burton home on May 2nd. It was located later the same day in Maugerville and it had been burned.
