Man Sentenced To Seven Years For Role In Deadly Home Invasion

A man has received sentencing after pleading guilty to charges stemming from a fatal home invasion on Prince Street West last November.

Ronald McCutcheon was charged with robbery and having his face masked while committing an indictable offense. He's been sentenced to seven years in jail, minus the nine months he's been in custody.

Justice Judy Clendening delivering the sentence, which includes conditions that McCutcheon must provide a DNA sample, and that he can't own firearms for 10 years after he's released.

Two men were stabbed in the incident; 21-year-old Christopher Reid, who lived in the house, and 18-year-old AJ Dennison, who later died.

Public Safety Minister, Robert Trevors, ordered an investigation after McCutcheon was released from prison by mistake.
