NB Power Crews Getting Help From Out Of Province

The cavalry is on the way to help out the NB Power crews who have been going full out for the past several days trying to get everyone's power back on. 

Deborah Nobes of NB Power tells CHSJ News power crews from Nova Scotia and P-E-I have arrived to lend a much needed hand. NB Power crews have even resorted to using chainsaws to cut through downed trees so they can get to areas where  the power is off

NB Power is hoping to have power fully restored on New Year's Eve. 


More than 9 thousand homes and businesses are still without electricity in the Rothesay region which also includes the Kingston Peninsula to Nauwigewauk. 

Over 39 hundred customers remains without power in the St. Stephen area including Black's Harbour and Lepreau. 

More than 13 hundred are still off line in the Sussex area.
