Most Energy-Conscious Canadians Are Motivated By Savings

A new study revealing the majority of us are more interested in saving ourselves some cash than saving the environment.

The report shows that while 63-percent of Canadians support renewable and alternative energy just as much today as they did five years ago, 54-percent want to keep their household energy usage low to benefit their bank accounts and not out of a desire to be green.

57-percent of us have bought energy-saving light bulbs like compact fluorescent bulbs to cut down on energy use and save cash but 65-percent think the newer LED bulbs are still too pricey.
